Beth worked with my family after a few black clouds came our way. We needed a bit of guidance figuring out which end was up and centering ourselves after our little crisis. Beth is terrific! My daughter is not one to talk much and Beth was able to meet her where she was at and listen to her concerns. She noticed what we were doing well to get back to our ‘regular’ life and offered some suggestions based on what she observed and heard. Beth’s style seemed to me laid back yet totally present. We felt both respected and cared for when we met with her. She exudes both energy and calm at the same time. We felt both at peace and energized in terms of knowing things were going to be OK when we met with Beth!
The recommendation from my pediatrician to work with Beth Niernberg was one of the best things that could have happened to our family. My daughter was suffering from extreme anxiety and phobias, and her usual bubbly personality was shrouded in fear. In her remarkable way, Beth was able to break through my daughter's fears, and address her anxiety with a combination of traditional and non traditional therapy. They not only talked and played in her office, but, with my permission, went on field trips to face her fears head on. She recommended activities that I would never have thought to engage in, which led to increased confidence and poise in my daughter. Beth went out of her way to protect and heal my daughter; she has been one of her most fierce advocates over the past 9 years. My daughter will soon graduate at the top of her class, fearless, capable, and confident, which is due in no small part to Beth's work with her. I consider Beth to be one of the top mental health professionals in the field, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to work with her. She changed our lives.
Beth has been a lifesaver for me and my family. We've participated in family therapy, couples work and for the past 4 years I've seen her for individual therapy. Beth has an uncanny ability to see clearly through my confusion, self-protective delusions and fog and to say exactly the thing that I need to hear in a given moment. It may not be what I want to hear, but it is always what I need to hear in order to help me break unhealthy patterns and create my best life. Beyond her intuitive nature and ability to understand clearly what is happening with me, Beth exudes such high levels of caring that even when she's telling me the hard truth I feel safe and cared for. Because of my work with Beth, I am now happier than I've ever been, more clear about my life goals and how to achieve them and have confidence that I can create new patterns and be in relation to others in new, more healthy ways. If you want to do some work and make positive changes in a safe and supportive environment, I highly recommend her as a therapist.
When I first came to Beth, she was able to help me through a very difficult and overwhelming time in my life. We worked through issues of self identity, family struggles, and work stress. These had turned my thoughts into a dark fog, but Beth was able to give me the tools I needed to break through to the light. Some time after my initial sessions with Beth were finished, personal tragedy struck, but I knew exactly who I could rely upon to help me process trauma. Though we came from different cultural backgrounds, Beth always respected my perspectives and worked within my framework to help reorient my negative thoughts and tendencies into positive habits of mind and body. I highly recommend her services and practice.
